This really cool studying place was created by AEQUO , a Dutch design studio and is located in Utrecht, The Netherlands. The Vleuterweide Campus “suffered” a tremendous make-over as its information plaza became a high tech culture space where students can catch up with the information they need. The place was compared to a monastery, where each bench is equipped with state of the art technology. However, the computers, magazines and other elements are very subtly integrated in the overall bench design. We also noticed how the displays are not stacked in together like we’ve seen in a few libraries, but situated at a good distance from one another in order to allow students to properly concentrate. We also like the colors, as they send out a warm feeling. Would you like to study in a place like this?

Have yo ever considered having a really wacky carpet in your home? Desigend by Jason Amendolara ,these sewer mats- that’s right, this is what they’re called- are certain to spice up a dull entrance. They can be used as welcoming carpets, but no one says they can not be integrated in a room’s interior design. In fact, having more of them on the same floor could create a fun street theme. The indoor/outdoor mats measure 24″ in diameter, are made from recycled truck tires and are being sold online for the sum of $25. We found a purchasing place here . Chandeliers are usually made of crystal and diamonds. This one’s made of tampons. At first glance, this dramatic chandelier created by Joana Vasconcelos looks ordinarily beautiful, but look closer, and you’ll be bloody surprised! The monster-sized chandelier is actually composed of hundreds of white O.B. tampons. Called “ The Bride ” this chandelier is right now in a gallery in Lisbon. It’s a 5-meter tall chandelier made from wire, cotton thread, and over 14,000 tampons. Right now, the tampon chandelier is only soaking up the gazes of art lovers, and will continue to do so until the Belem Cultural Center exhibition ends, on May 18, 2010.

How cool is this? A chair and table set with a unique feel which is probably not even all that hard to do. From Ilan Dei Studio , this incredible table set (chairs, table and lamps) was created in order to bring nature indoors. Basically for this type of original design you only need a few logs, some specially made seating sponges and a free standing lamp that will be interconnected with the unusual material. We do not doubt this is the type of solution that can be home made. Furthermore, you could think of other fun objects you could have around using logs, such as a carved rustic shelving system for example.
