It is also equipped with a closing system that prevents the carried products from falling. ELM & Willow House, An Inside Out Design from Architects Eat

The residence in the images below is a restoration of a Edwardian building in Australia developed by Architects Eat . The project team stated that their intention was “to create an Inside is outside is inside environment, where inside and outside spaces were interchangeable elements”. The construction took 18 months to finish, but is was worth the wait. The property also features a beautiful courtyard enclosed by the “U”-shaped building. We really like the natural feel of this place as well as its amazing location. Surprisingly enough, a part of the house was suspended not to damage in any way the roots of the near-by trees. The architects not only redesigned an existing home, but also added an extension. The interior also applies to the “outside is inside” rule, featuring materials and elements that are not usually found indoors. -via MOOD

“Tout Va Bien Cabinet” from Antoine+Manuel

We here on Freshome love to show you furniture items that break the patterns and bring a plus of originality to an interior. Recently we ran into this interesting cabinet. It is called “ Tout Va Bien Cabinet ” -in translation “everything will be alright”- and belongs to Antoine+Manue l, a team of graphic designers from France. We liked its shape and tiny feet which we consider to be quite unusual. Further more, the carvings are very interesting.  They are the focus point of the cabinet and an distinctive element. The item comes in both white and black and can be integrated in a minimalist interior with simple arrangements. The price is available on request on the manufacturer’s page here .

“Window” from Jonas Forsman, A Sound Absorbing Magazine Display

Jonas Forsman is a designer from Göteborg, Sweden who works in the field of product design, creating “ingenious solutions with simplified shape”. Today we would like to share with you one of his latest projects. “Window” is a sound absorbing magazine display which is a great solution for noisy interiors. Jonas noticed that the need for such devices is growing faster than ever before, which is the reason for creating such an original design. Public spaces like libraries or office rooms are the main beneficiaries of the product. However, a similar item could be placed in the kids’ room where a sound absorbing system could help parents have a good night’s rest.
