About
Welcome to SocialThumbs.com.
It may sound funny, but this site was created because it was therapeutic. There are few thing more disturbing than staying awake at night bombarded with ideas in your head
In the past I have come up with many ideas to only find out later that someone else implemented them. Part of the reason this site exists is that I wanted to at least put a timestamp to take some claim to it. But in reality, I’m not worried since it’s all about execution anyway.
I am a software developer and have implemented many ideas in the past, one earning a US patent for Apple Computer, inc., but I happen to have a short attention span and the only thing that persits in my head is coming up with more ideas! So, there… I’m already bored. Good night –I’m kidding…well, kinda
It turns out I haven’t given up on one day doing a great start up, but I now believe that validating ideas and bringing forth reviewable validation online to as many people as possible is tremendously useful. Others can also tell off-the-bat whether someone else is already doing it. So this approach helps me focus on the «right» idea and help me make better use of my time. Finally, a site like this can also help bring others alike who share the passions, have similar or complement my skill set while others may want to invest resources to make something happen. Even if I am not involved, I would be very pleased to see that other individuals find themselves through this platform.
Because we have the technical background, in time, we will provide tools to help in the process of making ideas a real business venture in terms of managing resources as well as prototyping functional applications.
Because of my short attention span, most of my posts are sweet and short. I hope to get feedback and hope that others will post their own, add comments and have fun. Who knows, maybe someone is watching and together we can make our dreams come true…
In the spirit of the «social Thumbs» concept, I recently decided to bring forth specific rss posts to focus on certain areas of interest to include reviews as well as ideas. I have found that I can easily be stimulated by someone else’ idea. As these come down the pike, you will find many of them annotated by Socialthumbs, making each post unique with enhancements or deviations of the original ideas –ensuring that the originating author is given credit, of course. I hope the reader will add comments and so forth.
This is my legacy and if you are like me, it should be yours as well.
Sincerely,
Carl, SocialThumbs
